The MTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Full-time and some part-time positions are posted on https://churchofjesuschrist.org/church/employment. Most MTC, non-teaching positions available to BYU students (such as custodial, grounds, dining, and other support positions) are posted in BYU's student job listings..
Generally, teaching positions are not posted online; applicants for these positions may apply any time of year. Supervisors select from the existing applicant pool to determine who to interview.
To apply to teach at the Provo Missionary Training Center, please visit our Teacher Application. All the information necessary to apply for a teaching position is within that application. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.
For any problems with the online teacher application, please contact MTC Human Resources/Employment at 385-384-2969.
Employees of the Missionary Training Center are to uphold the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and are to live worthy of a temple recommend.
Most MTC jobs involving interaction with missionaries require employees to dress in missionary attire while working at the MTC. Please refer to the dress and appearance guidelines for missionaries for details.
Teachers may be hired at any time throughout the year. However, most openings for teachers come in April/May and July/August
Teacher applications are kept active for one year from the time a rating session is completed.
No you do not. The MTC is no longer directly affiliated with BYU. For that reason, you do NOT have to be a student of any university including BYU. Preference is given to recently returned missionaries (within 3 years).
Most positions whether in Training or other departments will require about 20 hours a week.
